Im Handgepäck eines tibetischen Yogi finden sich zentrale Texte der Dzogchen- und Mahamudra-Tradition von Meistern wie Padma sambhava, Patrul Rinpoche, Maitripa sowie von Saraha, die von James Low zusammengestellt und übersetzt wurden. Der zweite Teil enthält vier Kapitel mit Auszügen aus Vorträgen von James Low, die einen direkten thematischen Bezug zu den übersetzten Originaltexten haben und das Verständnis durch zusätzliche Erläuterungen vertiefen sowie ihre Relevanz im Alltag aufzeigen.

Hiermit liegt eines der ersten deutschsprachigen Bücher über Dzogchen in vollständig überarbeiteter Form wieder vor.

James Low, der sich seit über 35 Jahren mit dem tibetischen Buddhismus, speziell mit Dzogchen beschäftigt, arbeitet als Psychotherapeut in London. Seine Bücher wurden in mehrere europäische Sprachen übersetzt, und auf Anraten seines Lehrers bereist er seit mehr als 20 Jahren ganz Europa, um vornehmlich über Dzogchen zu lehren.
